As an autonomous municipal company, M has strong roots in its home city of Leuven. The City Council appoints our Board of Directors, who are responsible for running M but, of course, they do not do this alone and they have an independent Advisory Committee that assists them.

Our Board of Directors is appointed for a term of six months and is currently made up of: Bert Cornillie (chair, on behalf of Vooruit), Liesbet Stevens (on behalf of Vooruit), William Trappeniers (on behalf of Vooruit), Mauro Michielsen (on behalf of Vooruit), Katja Hermans (on behalf of Vooruit), Griet Valgaeren (on behalf of N-VA), Vital Geeraerts (on behalf of N-VA), Laurien Coenen (on behalf of CD&V), Angie Vanloffelt (on behalf of CD&V), Magda Aelvoet (on behalf of Groen), Gi Leoni (on behalf of PVDA), Bart De Geeter (on behalf of Vlaams Belang).
