Perelle and his sons specialized in engravings of landscapes. Their extensive oeuvre, produced in the seventeenth century, continued to be printed until the eighteenth century.
In the Prints Room at M, you can discover around 20 engravings of their elegant landscapes with vast, magnificent skies, crumbling ruins, woods, little huts, harbours and sailing ships. French castles surrounded by parks and fountains appeal to the imagination, while the little figures bring the tableaux to life.
