On Thursday evening, 13 October, we will open two new exhibitions at M: 'Alabaster' and Kato Six. Be the first to discover the exhibition, listen to the curator and/or artist and enjoy a drink. Entrance to M is free for the occasion, registration is not necessary.

About 'Alabaster'

Alabaster, more luxurious than gold and soft as velvet, was a very popular material in European sculpture. M and the Louvre Museum have teamed to try to show examples of all aspects of the material by using masterpieces from the 14th to the 17th century. Stroll past Gothic retable fragments, Baroque altars, unusual collectibles and gigantic tombstones and be amazed by the possibilities that this unique material offers.

About Kato Six

The Belgian artist Kato Six produces drawings, textile art, wall art and sculptures. Her artistic practice embraces a number of themes which she develops into series or ensembles. Recognizable and everyday materials and objects form the basis of an oeuvre that is a cross between abstract and figurative art. Architecture, design, domesticity and utility objects play an important role as references.
