For its third edition, OPEN M is presenting the most diverse styles and materials. Despite the many differences, however, it will still reflect on our experience of form and space. Various disciples will be juxtaposed, ranging from performance to photography.
From the many submissions, curator Ann Cesteleyn selected nine exceptional artists who will occupy the exhibition rooms at M this summer: Line Boogaerts, Polien Boons, Kristien Daem, Johan Gelper, Sofie Haesaerts, Astrid Mingels, Niels Poiz, Denitsa Todorova and Ane Vester.
In August, a professional jury and an audience jury will select two OPEN M artists to receive a solo exhibit at the FeliXart Museum, where they will also have the opportunity to develop their work further as part of the Doe Stil Voort project from 27 September until 8 November 2015. OPEN M gave me my very first opportunity to present my work to the general public. It really came into its own. I also discovered new artists and their work. It was a wonderful experience to exhibit at M.
