This is what a holiday is all about: playing to your heart’s content and experimenting with play equipment that you don’t have at home. Together with the Huis van het Kind, we’ve created a play paradise in the museum garden, where getting dirty is encouraged. With a corner for the very youngest children.
The artworks in the ‘Collection of M’ provide the inspiration for this workshop by Atelier Kastart. Together with your family, you’ll create a mysterious artwork, full of secret messages. Roll up your sleeves and put your head in the clouds!
Tumble into this workshop with real circus artists and make your acrobatic dreams come true. Complete an adventurous circus circuit and learn exciting acrobatic techniques. Surprise yourself and test your limits. Cirkus in Beweging will make sure you stay safe.
‘Cooking together in the mud kitchen’ Creative Workshop
Dirty clothes is the measure of success in this workshop for children, in collaboration with the City of Leuven. Because we’re going to get messy and creative with mud. Make the sweetest mud pies, the most delectable mud muffins… or a life-sized mud painting. A workshop to stimulate all the senses.
Musica’s handmade wooden musical instruments encourage children to move and experience sound. During this workshop, children will explore all manner of possibilities: drumming, driving, turning, sliding, ringing, rattling… Embark on a playful voyage of discovery with your pre-schooler in a unique Musical Playground.
‘Connection using circus motor skills’ Workshop/Movement Session
Cirkus in Beweging have devised a series of playful exercises inspired by circus techniques. From babies and toddlers to pre-schoolers: everyone will become more aware of their body and the surrounding space. Playfully discover what feels good and how to build (self-)confidence, together with your child.
Moving and laughing with your child can be such a joy. Feel the pleasure during a yoga session that you take part in together. A yoga teacher from Studio Zuid teaches you to feel good and relax – side-by-side – with accessible exercises.
A painter takes you through the ‘Collection of M’ whilst scattering lavish melodies around… but doesn’t spill a drop of paint. In this active performance by Theater Spoor 6, Pieter Potlood is a musical colour composer who dreams of painting a fantastic artwork. But he’s not doing very well. Perhaps the children have some great ideas?
Screen-printing is a wonderful technique, which even children can learn. Create your design and print it in all the colour combinations you want. Professional materials and advice will be provided by Scheefdruk. Feel free to bring your own cotton T-shirt or sheet for all your screen printing experiments.
